DIY Heart Doily T-shirt

 

I saw this project in a Family Fun magazine and

have been trying to do this for some time now.

Having lost my magazine I decided to try it out by memory.

 

Here are the supplies needed:

 

Fabric paint in your choice of colors 

package of paper doilys, I purchase mine at the Dollar Tree

Paint sponge

solid color shirt

cardboard or other disposable item to protect back of shirt from paint

 

 

First, put cardboard inside the shirt to prevent the paint from bleeding through to the back.

Next, place the paper doily where you would like the heart to be.

 

Apply fabric paint to sponge and begin to paint over the exposed areas.

When you are finished painting, gently remove the paper doily.

Let it dry at least 24 hours before washing.

 

Here is my finished tshirt for my daughter.

Note: I mixed silver glitter fabric paint with white to give it extra sparkle.
