Blue Bird Earrings ~ Aretes de Pájaros Azules

I made these Blue Bird Earrings using Sculpey and Fimo clay in Sky Blue and Pearl and my Wilton Fondant/Gum Paste Mold.
Hice estos aretes de pájaros azules usando modelado de arcilla de las marcas Sculpey y Fimo en colores "Sky Blue" y "Pearl" y también mi molde para pasta de goma de Wilton.

First, I broke off a small piece of pearl colored clay and began to knead it then I added a larger piece of the sky blue color and kneaded it as well.  Once the clay was soft enough, I lightly dusted the mold cornstarch and proceded to fill the bird cavities with clay.  Then I gently popped the birds out and added a 3/4 inch eye pin to the back with a small piece of rectangular clay. 
Primeramente, usando una parte de arcilla color perla empieze a amasar y agregue una parte un poco mas grande de color azul cielo y combinelos, amasando bien. Una vez que la arcilla es lo suficientemente suave, heché almidón de maíz ligeramente espolvoreado al molde y procede a llenar las cavidades de aves con arcilla. Despues saqué suavemente a las aves y añade un alfiler de ojo (para uso de joyas) 3/4 de pulgada en la parte posterior con un pequeño trozo de arcilla rectangular.

I layed my birds on wax paper on a cookie sheet and baked them at 275° for about 15 min.  Using an ovenmitt I removed to cookie sheet and let it cool for another 15 min.

Ponga los pájaros sobre papel encerado en una bandeja de horno y se hornea a 275° por unos 15 min. Luego, retire el molde del horno y dejar enfriar por otros 15 minutos.

Once cooled,  I used jewelry pliers to attach the birds to fishhook earring wires.

Una vez enfriados, usa pinzas de joyería para atar los ganchillos de arete a sus pájaros.

And there you have it, boutique-look, light weight earrings!

Y ahí lo tiene, aretes de peso lígero con aparencia de boutique!
